Livkalns guest house is located in the most picturesque place in Sigulda – near the castle mound of Satezele which was first mentioned in chronicles in 1206 when an old tribe of the Livs arrived and fought against the Crusaders with their governor Dabrelis. The ramparts of the castle are the second highest in Latvia. Today you can still see the breach in the castle wall, where in 1212 German invaders dug under to capture the castle.
In the surroundings you can enjoy beautiful landscapes. Not far from the “Livkalns” there are two places of interest – Peter’s Cave and Raven’s Gorge.
You can enjoy delicious meal and cosy rooms to relax after a stroll in nature.
We provide facilities for organizing banquets, conferences, meetings as well as birthdays, weddings and other events for up to 200 guests.
